I can't imagine why they even continue to make this meter. It is huge, and requires a hanging drop of blood. This is the meter my son used for the first few years and it is part of the reason that I was beside myself with worry about how my daughter would ever manage to test her own blood. Luckily there was a newer model available which she was able to manage even with her disability. It is beyond me why anyone would want to wait for 45 seconds for a blood sugar test result, but I suppose that there may be some people that don't want to change the way they do things. At least it looks like you no longer have to code it.
